Are my trees protected?
Our Arborists are aware of which species of trees are protected under ‘NALL – Natural Assets Local Laws 2003’ by the Brisbane City Council. You can access more information for the trees in your local area.
Can your company remove trees that are near powerlines?
Aussie Tree Solutions complies to the Electrical safety code of practice 2010 when working near powerlines. The Arborist who attends the site to provide you with a quotation, will determine if we can proceed with the work or if we require the services of a power company.
How much of a tree can be pruned or lopped? All tree pruning will be in compliance with the Australian Standard 4373-2007 ‘Pruning of amenity trees’. This can also be discussed at the time of the quotation.
Is my tree diseased or dying?
Our Arborists are qualified to detect if your tree is diseased and if it is dying. They can offer advice on how to protect your tree from further decay or if your tree is unsafe and has associated risk hazards.
What is the best possible care for some of the trees I have?
Tree care can go a long way with maintaining and prolonging a trees life. We can offer factual advice for the best possible preservation and conservation of your trees.
What is the best time of year to lop or prune a tree?
Strangely enough, some people may think that the best time to prune or lop a tree is when it has lost all its leaves, however this is not so. All trees are different and we can let you know the best time of year to prune certain variety of trees.
Can you let me know if my tree is a weed species or a native tree?
Our Arborists can identify whether your tree is a native tree or a weed species. Certain types of weed species are definitely worth removing as they can be very invasive.
Is your Company insured and do you have qualified Arborists?
Our company is insured with Sterling Insurance to the value of $20,000,000. Our policy number is 16010115. All staff are covered by Workcover Queensland, policy number WAD160 187297. We have two fully qualified Level 5 qualified Arborists, four Level 3 Arborists and two staff who are currently undertaking their Level 3 qualifications.

What are my rights? You are legally allowed to prune all trees to the existing boundary of your property. We do encourage you to speak to your neighbour about your intentions with having tree work done or of any concerns. Most neighbours see this as a courtesy and may even discuss splitting the bill.
Does your company provide advice and reports for any council related matters concerning trees?
Yes. Your local council will advise you if you need something in writing and if a tree report will be sufficient for their requirements. It is always best to forward any information that you have from the Council to us. This way we can check that we are providing you with exactly what is required.
Do we have to attend the property to do a quote?
In order to give you an accurate quote we need to see the size of the tree and the accessibility. Our level 5 Arborist will also verify what species the tree is in case it is protected by Council. We also need to see if any items need to be moved to prevent any property damage. Another important thing is for Aussie Tree Solutions to assess any risk hazards associated with carrying out any tree work.
